When was the last time you changed the air filter? How many miles on it and has it ever been tuned up?

Gearing is also an issue as well as what speed you are mashing the pedal at.

What do you mean past passing gear.........I'm thinking you need to be going 90+ mph when you mat it and passing gear doesn't come up.

Seems to be over 80 km/hr. Maybe a gearing issue?

It is an 05 F-150. It is drive by wire so throttle response is slow. Only way to properly cure it is to tune it. Where in Ontario are you located?

If it is still under warranty you can check with your dealer for a PCM reflash. Toronto has an SCT dealer who could tune it or if you want to drive to Windsor....... There is a dyno shop here that tunes. WP Racing. 519-819-1091
