Well, fwiw, I can tell you that the Mobil 1 EP will go 10K miles easy in a 2002 Toyota Sienna. Motor has over 100K miles. Owner has no interest in changing oil regularly.
She has run Amsoil 0w30 to over 15K miles without a problem also.

I'm not looking to push oil to the max - I want a premium oil that's going to do its job the best, getting an extended drain interval out of it is secondary, simply to help recoup some of the additional expense. I'd be very happy with a reliable 10k or 6 months. I would not run dino past 5k or 3 months.
If I wanted to run oil indefinitely, I'd be running Amsoil Series 2000 with an Ea and a bypass rig and using oil analysis. It's just not worth it to me these days.

Worst synthetic
The worst I ever got was this stuff from a local convenience store, Krusty Brand Oyl.. only $.38 a quart, I thought it was a bargain..
After two days my engine wouldn't even turn over, pulling the dipstick out was like pulling a tooth.. the oyl was a sickly green color, the consistency of spackle.
I retrieved one of the bottles.. "Krusty Brand Moter Oyl is recommended for ALL enjens, however buy making purchase you have waived any and all rights for recovery due to damages."
Man, there was a KLOWN on the bottle! What's this country come to when you cain't trust a klown?
