mass air flow location

04 f150 super crew 5.4, anybody out there can tell me where the maf is located and hows the best way to clean intake? thanks: wlsmithjr1960:thumbsup

It should be right behind the assembly that has 5.4L 3V TRITON molded on it. Between that black plastic cover and the firewall, and look for a wiring connector whose harness is on the driver's side of the top of the engine. I found a pic online from the Rousch supercharger install manual. Go to page 16 of http://www.fnsweet.com/docs/2004F150Roushcharger.pdf

Cant answer the question on cleaning, my 2003 is way different than your 2004.

The best way to clean it is to take it off.. The easy way to clean it is with carb cleaner through the throttle body.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use carb cleaner on the MAF !!!

Far too harsh and will leave a residue.

Use the proper product: CRC MAF Cleaner.

Removal is the best way to do it right & completely.

Let it dry - don't touch the sensor element.
