6psi switch removal

Would anyone know what size socket I would need to remove a 6psi switch (oil sending unit) off a '94 with a 5.0 (302)?

I tried this evening using a 1" deepwell socket which was to small and a 1 1/16" which was to big. Is it metric, maybe 26mm?

Thanks for the help.

Most auto parts stores sell oil sending unit sockets. I replaced the oil sending unit three times in 138,000 miles on my ex 94 F150 with the 5.0. I bought both OEM and aftermarket and had the best luck with OEM with the sealant on the threads.
