Hydrogen added to intake- good / bad?

Has anyone done this modification?

It seems logical, but I would like to know if someone else has tried this. I may do it if others have had favorable results. It would pay off pretty quick if it actually works!

I would also be concerned how much power it uses.

Wow. From a company that seems to be messing with some pretty dangerous systems, I'd expect better scientific/engineering data presented.

It is a version of the old battery type attempt.
Pass electric current through an electrolyte from special electrodes and generate hydrogen gas at the top of the closed container, then pipe it into the intake.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, you can't generate enough, fast enough, to be of much value besides eating up the electrodes and the mess you have to deal with.

I thought the same thing. They also don't describe how often you need to change out or refill the water. Seems like a pretty low quality web site. Maybe they are smart technically but need some help in the marketing area.

I agree, its about the same size setup as you use for kids science fair projects. I dont see any way its going to make up enough hydrogen to make any noticeable difference in a car, especially a full size truck. Id put it in the same category as some of ebays "performance chips".

Thumbs down

My dad in Colorado saw the story on the news. I looked it up and it seems to be legitimate. I have an Expedition and they said it improved 2mpg. I don't think that is enough for me to spend $300.

News Story myfoxcolorado.com

Makes me wonder if they are just getting better air flow into the intake? They may get the improved performance with a K&N filter.
