More Power?

hey fellas,

I know some guys are making some pretty good numbers when it comes to power. I would like to get more power out of my 2000 2wd 4.6 and am looking for some suggestions. I am already troyer tuned w/ AF1 intake. Next mod on the list is putting 4.10's in the rear(have 3.08 now...blah). What else can be done to the truck without doing major engine work to make more power. And if yall could maby ballpark a $ figure as too how much it would cost for the mod.

Thanks,
Ed

You're doing good with the tunes and intake, the gears will make a big difference. Maybe pulleys and e-fans, that'll get ya a few more hp for a few hundred $.

Not sure how much to have the heads or cam done.

Beyond that you're looking at supercharging the thing and that's big $$$.

Your going from 308's to 410's - Wahoo !! That's going to be a night and day difference right there and excellent mod

I would suggest a good cat back system and a High Flow cat on each side - get rid of the four you have on there now.

ProCharger has the best numbers for SC's ..

Thanks for the input fellas. I forgot to mention that I have a weld in flowmaster (SIDO). I have heard that a flowmaster hurts my torque. Is this true? Who makes a good catback system and high-flow cats. I would like to still have the deep sound that flowmaster has.

I have never had a single inlet/outlet flow on my truck so i don't know there.I did have true duels with 2 flow 40's and the low end was lacking alot until i switched. The flows seemed to pull good when the rpm's got up high though.

polpilot that should help some, you need some backpressure!!!That thing must be real loud!!Also cosider getting an X-pipe to balance out the flow better
