5.4L will not start

5.4L will not start

Hey All,
I drove my 1999 f150 home from work and made a quick stop at my mom's house to help her out and went out to start the truck to head home and it will crank ,fire up and run like crap (bad miss) them die and them all it did was crank .
Any sugestions where to look first? Thanks

check your fuel pump fuse and relay.

I have an 01 screw that did just the same. After a while all it did was crank. What I later found out was my fuel pump had gone bad. There are several posts on this site which list a good set of steps to follow to see if you fuel pump is going bad. I think I did a search on bad fuel pump or something like that. Good luck with that and let it know how it comes out.

Hi, hey , roll your windown and turn it to the run position - You should be able to your fuel pump pressure up.

If not, the PDB under the hood on the 99 has a fuel pump fuse and a relay - it has both like built54 said - check them..

That little book lists where they are , the 99 is different from the 98 but the book looks like this and illustrates where your fuses are -
