Car vs Truck engines

Hi I have a 98 Ford f150 with the 4.66 liter in it and its currently blown my question is could I take an engine that's a 4.6 that's in a car instead of a truck? Is the block the same? Could I simply take the intake off my old one and put it on the cars engine? Please email or repost my email is theevildemon666@gmail.com

Blocks are the same but your 98 is non power improved (Non PI). So if you get another engine then in order for your 98 truck intake to mate with the cyl heads on the replacement engine it must be a non PI as well. PI intake only fits PI heads. non PI intake only fits non PI heads but the blocks for both PI and non PI are identical.

One more thing I said blocks are identical but (its never that easy) Romeo (code W) blocks and heads and Windsor(code 6) blocks and heads are different in several ways cam covers/holes being one so make sure that if you have a Romeo engine get a Romeo to replace it and Windsor/Windsor just to keep things simple...
