Diesels

ok you guys. the question is can a 7.5 or a 6.0L be stuffed into an f-150 body? i know it would be easier to just buy a F-250 or F350. I know finding an engine wont be that easy. all i really want to know is can it be done? i like the look of my f-150 and stuffing a diesel in there would be a major sleeper/ get better mpg. i'm not rich so it would take time and hard work to get it set up, all i need to know now is if it can be done, so i can know to start looking or not.
thank you for your help

The F150 does not have the frame for the vibration or power of the diesel. The front end would require significant mods to carry the weight. It would be far cheaper to buy an F-250 with the diesel already installed.

No problem. It was quite a few pages back already. Took me a few minutes to find it.

I'm interested in a diesel F150 too, and I'm waiting to see if they roll one out in 2009. Ford seems to have done very well with the new 6.4L trucks and I hope they'll repeat that success with the F150 4.4L.
