Yeah the plug faces down and the the MAF faces forward -

I have some pics of intakes I made in the past - but I sold them and haven't made another yet - The pic on the bottom is where your MAF should be ..

Yeah , Don't listen to them - this is a Ford f150 5.4L,4.6L and 4.2L specific site .
They think just because Honeywell manufactures Motorcraft for Ford and that Honeywell also makes Autolite that there the same plug.

They are NOT.. Don't bother arguing, just go somewhere where they sell Motorcraft .

Motorcraft IS the OEM plug for these motors . The difference between the two are the heat ranges.

Motorcrafts are made to EXACT Ford specs. Autolites are not.

If you want the truck to run the way it was engineered - get the plug that they were dynoed with and tested with at the factory..

The Autolites heat up terribly , I tried them once, look at the discoloration. Thes plugs lasted 40 miles before it started to misfire..

Yeah , but I said I would only use those (I think there TR6's) if my truck was moded - more extreme than it is now . When I add a blower , I will run the NGK's but not before.

Maybe I didn't explain that clearly enough..

Yes , there the worst plug you could possibly put in these motors..

Just get the Motorcraft , you can't go wrong with those..

jbrew, what's your opinion on the Denso Iridiums that Troyer sells? I see Motorcraft has iridiums now too.

There good plugs - same catagory as NGK's. But again, I don't think we need a plug like that unless we can take advantage of the extra performance.

The lightning or any blown motor , stage 2 or 3 heads can make good use of these plugs .

A lightly moded motor really doesn't need them.
