Inline fuses and plunger switch

I know...I'm being a pain in the a@@.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out a safe way to disconnect my battery without getting zapped. I see there's two inline fuses near my battery; however, I'm not sure if I should just yank them out and see what happens.

The other image is of a plunge type switch. I initially thought this was the switch for my under the hood light. No such luck. I keep pushing it and nothing seems to happen (unless someones garage door is going up and down - love that commercial).

Thought?

Thanks
-Ed

Follow these easy steps:

1. Determine size of hardware on battery terminals.
2. Obtains tools of the corresponding size.
3. Loosen the hardware on the Positive terminal (red)
4. Remove terminal from battery post. (this may require some twisting with pliers)
5. Do the same as in #5 for the Negative terminal (black).
Wallah, you are done.

The last time I connected back the neg cable the damn thing throw a big spark with a little smoke, then my after market alarm went off and scare the crap out of me.

Of course this time, I know what to expect -or- I'll have my wife hook it up. hehe

ALWAYS remove the negative BEFORE the positive, and reconnect the positive BEFORE the negative.
