The other day I noticed a leak under my 1990 F150 4x2 with the 4.9 Litre straight 6 engine. It was coming out of the front of the Transmission housing. Right where the tranny joins the rear of the engine. My first inclination was to figure a leaking freeze plug in the rear of the head or the block. I removed the intake and exhaust manifold on my way to removing the head to find the last bolt-hole ear on the rear of the intake manifold broken off. Could this be where the leak is coming from?
