Go over to Auto Zone or Advance Auto, they will read out the codes free. Then you can research the codes. Do that before you even start guessing what the idle problem is.

Any auto store or garage will read the codes for you for free, but don't rely on the autozone kid's "diagnostic" behind the code, research that here.

Older ('95 and earlier) cars had the "paperclip method" to read codes, that doesn't work on newer ODB II systems.

Yeah +1 on getting the codes read , make sure you write them down and post them in this thread - you'll gett plenty of help here.

Auto Zone reads them for free - make sure you write them down..

where are you located? if you're close by i could hook it up to my scan tool and give you a way more accurate diagnosis than anything that auto zone could offer.
