2000 Ford Expedition Engine Problem - HELP PLS!!

Hi, i am not so familiar with terms on automobile parts and stuff so im going to try and explain my situation in as easy to understand as possible,

Ok i have 2000 Ford Expedition 4x4 (4.6 liter triton v8 engine), and I had it painted for 2 months (i was gonna use it for carshows), ok so when i got the vehicle back, it was weak in power, it shudders at idle and i hear some weird vibrating sound at idle, but when i rev it a little the sound disappear and vibration is gone just like normal operation.

When i drive it its really weak, like very underpowered. I just got it back from the paintshop 2 days ago and drove it like 40 miles total from my 5 trips since i got it back.

I can smell this burning smell somewhere whenever i drive it with windows down and when i get out of the vehicle. Today I drove it around our place to test if its back to normal, then I parked it back , popped the hood and saw my exhaust was read, the full exhaust system, from the engine below the vehicle , 2 tubes from engine connecting to the muffler is blazing red, no fire but its like red metal, so i panicked, i turned off the engine, and hosed the red hot metal parts with water (the exhaust), continuosly until everything was normal.

I now think that since i got it it was like that since i could smell that burning odor from day 1 i got it from the paintshop.

Really the drive isnt normal, very weak,

What do you think is the problem?

My radiator hose in the engine bay (the big fat one) became soft and a little bit hot and now its normal temperature but still a little bit soft like it has water or coolant inside it, is this normal?

All fluid levels ok! New coolant, etc.

Please help! I want to hear your opinions before I bring it to the dealer tomorrow.

Check your air filter, it may be clogged from the body shop dust. If the filter is ok then put a scanner on it to see if it has a code or codes.

How old is the gas? Could be a vacuum leak (a big one will make the convertors glow a pretty red) Hope you didn't warp anything hosing water on it. I would of just killed it and let it cool off on its on. The reason I asked about the gas is because it will go bad fast, remove your fuel cap and smell of it. Old gas will smell like varnish (kinda of a sweet pucky smell).

Do you mean the exhaust was red, not read, hot?
The converters are plugged.
