4.6 L vs 5.4 L

That's another fundamental difference to consider. The Tornado only takes 5 minutes to install and does nothing, while a TB spacer takes an hour or two, and does nothing. All boils down to how much free time you have to waste on bogus "mods".

what ever you do never use autolite plugs on a 4.6. my buddy did and now he has to replace the heads. the thread on the autolite isnt as deep. blew it out and somehow bent a valve. long story short.

What are you talking about
No consprracy at all - It's like this , yes there made by the same company "Honeywell" . The Autolite is made to it's own specs , Motorcraft is made to exact Ford specs for there motors. That's why they work the best in these modulars and that's it.
The only time your really going to need an upgrade with your plugs in when you mod the motor enough to warrent it. That's when you may think about running Denso's or NGK's.

It's crack Pipe you foolish mortal
NGK and Denso's are the only hi-performance plugs that have a proven record as being the best for these modulars. Say , if you upgrade your ignition systems to Granetellies or MSD , you'll want to run a better plug along with.

Hey wait a minute, that gives me an idea for an aftermarket performance package- THE ELECTRICALLY SUPERCHARGED TORNADO!!!
I've used NGK plugs in my toys for years, jetski, snowmobiles, ect and never had any problems with fouling or the like. Though one time, the local parts barn was out of NGK, and I substituted for a Denso "equivalent". Almost immediately the performance started to drop, and a few minutes later one cylinder fouled. Got the NGK back in, ran fine.
