engine restore

anyone know anything about this stuff called engine restore? says its supposed to improve compression on engines with more than 40,000 miles on them by filling in the tiny cuts and scratches in your cylinders. anyone use this stuff and have any feed back?

Restore uses a suspendant of copper and lead. The idea is that these soft metals will burnish themselves on the cylinder walls and on worn parts. It works somewhat but I wouldn't put it in anything but an engine that is on its last roundup. The lead and copper will cause wear to accelerate.
