How much HP?

So here's the deal at the end of the summer I'm getting a completely new exhaust system and I need to know ballpark the flywheel HP I'll be making so I can pick my pipe size, I'm going according to this chart, I think I'll be around 350-400 flywheel hp so I'm thinking 2.25" what are your opinions?

http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/Exhaust_Pipe_Size.htm

here are the mods I'm going to do (I plan on staying N/A):
EDGE (already have)
Long tube headers
Magnaflow Hi-flow cats
duals X-piped into two 18" maggies
AF1
E-fans
Port and polish stock TB and Elbow

No way you will be at 350-400 HP, without serious head work / cams or forced induction.

Don't waste money on headers - if you don't substantially increase the airflow into the engine, you don't need headers / exhaust to get it out...

Just my $.02...

You might want to talk to Neal about The Magnaflow Hi -Flow Cats. They don't last that long - I think he said he got a year out of them , but that's it ..

I can't remember what he said he uses now , but yeah , sounds like a you gotta good system to me besides that. Anyway, You might want to check it out before you go threw the expense..

BSL - check out "Built54's" truck & mods. 265hp to the wheels (which is approx 345 hp crank @ 30% driveline loss). I'm guessing your number's a little high for the mods you stated.

Also - If you push more than 325 hp or so crank, you will need an injector upgrade and a true custom tune to go with it. The stock 19#'ers will be getting maxxed out around that figure. Built did that too.

I also have a suggestion, ditch the Edge for a Xcal 2 so its tuned for your mods.

looks like I was a little aggressive estimating what these mods would give, I just used the max #'s I could find for each to make sure I didn't underestimate. Sounds like I should only expect to see 50 extra HP though. Anyways, so headers are a waste of money unless you're blown? thanks for all the replies

from troyer website and this is just shorty's, I would imagine long tubes get a little more

"The power gains from these coated headers on a bone-stock 5.4 F-150 average in the 14-17 HP range (slightly more in supercharged 5.4's like Lightnings), and will add even more power as you do other modifications to increase engine power."

so should I get long tubes or not? Because if I do all the exhaust at the same time I'm sure it will save some on labor

BSL , I disagree with it being a waste of money - Longtubes will increase horsepower on a bone stock truck . You definitly DO NOT want shorties , that IMO is a waste of money.

Built54 will tell you , I know for a fact that he purchased shorties - went to the dyno and had -0- gains. Then he went with longtubes and gained quite a bit on the dyno - around 20hp.

If you have at least an intake on your truck , add longtubes , flow thru's and a maggie cat back your going to see a noticeable increase in HP .

Trust me , that's a beneficial mod and IMO the best set up

when i upgraded the exhaust on my truck, i got 2.5 inch pipe and it roars!! i noticed a big difference in pickup off the line and in the mid rpm range down shift. i think 2.5 inch pipe worked out perfect!

you should see 30 hp with a good set of long tubes, I'm gonna go ahead and say that you should see 270-280 rwhp with all those mods. You should also dump the Edge and go with a Troyer tuned XCal2. Mike will help you get the most out of your mods.

I just noticed you have a 2V 5.4, your end rwhp will probably be lower: possibly 250 or so...
