Rwhp!

My truck is a 5.4 liter reg. cab flareside and i was wondering about my horsepower.

It has a Flowmaster American Thunder Cat back
A k&n 77 series and a airraid TBS
And a transgo kit
Its been dynod at 215RPHP and 290RWTQ
0-60=6.1 sec
Is that more than usual the guy that dynod it told me that the guys that usually dyno them are very dissapointed with 180-190 hp Is this true???

If so thats alot of drivetrain loss if so.

It seems like 30-33% drivetrain loss is the norm with these 5.4's.

That's a decent HP number for a 2-valve 5.4.

Cool

HI!... Most stock "P.I" 5.4's with 4x2 dyno at around 195RWH.P. A 4x2 F-150 with auto, 4R70-W transmission has roughly a 70H.P drivetrain loss. 4X4's are around 75H.P due to the transfer case.

it was very exiting to see those numbers. I knew that it seemed like it was a pretty quick truck. This is my bast line HP for my project truck. Next to come will be a superchips tuner, longtubes, e fans and a new back tires

LT headers alone should get you close to about 240. and a good tune on an Xcal2 or an Edge will put you over 250 easily

I'm not so sure those numbers are gonna happen on a 2-valve 5.4

Screw all you guys, I'm gonna have 300 NA rwhp when I'm done with my 4.6

Just in case some of you didn't get it, I was joking actually I'm shooting for 500 NA rwhp.

Edit: on 87 octane, because who the hell can afford premium nowadays with it at $3.9X a gallon. Certainley not a cullege stoodent like me...

theres many variables such as gearing and tire size if the dyno is not set for your tire size it will read higher.. compared to smaller tires..
