Do I have a problem

While sitting in my driveway the other day I started to rev the engine. All was fine until I hit between 3500 and 4000 RPMs and I would get a sputter sound from under the hood and then out of the exhaust. I did wash the engine out (very light spray) two weekends ago (not sure if this was an occurence prior to washing the engine though as I never tried it before) and I have recently installed an AF1 (3" tube) so was maybe thinking that had something to do with it. I get nothing when I actually drive the truck though. Not sure if I have an actual problem with maybe something gettiong wet when I washed it, but I would think it would be dry by now. Or if it's simply the AF1 intake and when I get my Xcal II and tunes that will take care of it.

Any advice/suggestions? Thanks

Sounds like you hit a neutral/park rev limiter. It is to keep you from over reving the engine.

Well that makes me feel alot better. I was kind of thinking it may have been something like that since I do not get the same thing when I'm on the interstate and I got WOT. Thanks for the reply.
