doch block

doch block

i m changing my block, i heard i could use a doch aluminum block with my 2 valves heads on my 98 f150 (4.6) , any input, thank you

if u do get the Teksid block out of a mark VIII its rumored to be the strongest modular block up untill the ford GT block.

If you use and older block, i.e. pre '02. You will have to drill a coolant bypass hole in the left (Drivers side) deck face of the block.

changing blocks

mark VIII , what year? drill a hole on the block for the coolant bypass? do i have to do the same with iron block?

All MK8 blocks require the drilling of the bypass. Cast iron blocks do not require this since it was designed for a 2V. If you lay the blocks side by side you will see where the hole needs to go.
