Facts on using nitrous on a 4.6 with auto & 3.55 gears?

Hi to all

Are there any members out there running a nitrous kit on a F150 4x4 4.6 V8 with auto and 3.55 gears? If yes, what size nitrous kit are you using (50HP, 75HP or 100HP)? Can you please give me some idea on the performance of your truck? What kind of acceleration can I expect from a 100HP kit? Have you ran any quarter mile times? What size tires do you use and do you have any traction problems?

I have an 1999 F150 Lariat with 4.6 V8 headers and catback exhaust, cold air intake, 3.55 gears, auto and 33 inch mud terrains.

Would love to hear about your experience as I am planning to purchase a kit in a few weeks. Highly appreciate any replies. Best regards to all.

John

I've asked this question before and not seen much of a response around here. Your truck is very similar to mine. From what I see, not many folks with full size trucks are buying in to nitrous. I think it would give me a nice bump while towing, but I would love to hear some comments on how often the bottle has to be filled up, and rather or not I'll grenade my engine. I was thinking of adding a 50-75hp dry shot...I know a wet shot gives more power, but you have to fiddle with the fuel lines and fuel pump. I'll give up some horses for ease of use.

Please let me know if you learn anything.

Mike
