Just want to say hello to everyone.
As of two days ago, I am the proud owner of a very beat up 1999 Ford F150 w Triton 4.6.
I am in need of some help in getting it running right and looking good while doing so.

Welcome aboard!

This is an awesome web site and the people here are good people ready willing and more than capable of helping. I joined this board a couple of months ago and have save more than you really want to know by doing things myself with the guidance of these savvy individuals. You can spend hours reading posts that will not only educate you, but give you more confidence than you would ever dream possible.

Every light on my dash is on "check engine, etc". What type of code grapper do I need to figure out what is going on? 1999 f150 - it does not have any stickers saying XL or XLT, so how can I tell which series do I have?
I would like to replace the truck bed,who sells those?

thanks all!

Flyboy , head over to Auto Zone , they'll read the codes for you for free (trouble codes) - Make sure you write every one of them down , carry a pencil and paper with you, write them down and come back here and post them .

We can help you from there

if you're gonna be doing alot of work on the truck you want to just pruchase an OBDII code reader. It's universal and works great to help you figure whats wrong. I bought one for 45 bucks at auto zone, or you can just head there and they'll do it for free.
