air filter housing.

looking for the air filter housing piece that goes into the inner fender. 97 4.6. tryed rockauto.com with no luck. any other sites you can suggest or is it a trip to the junkyard??. thanx in advance.

Is your filter the round one???

I'm pulling the complete factory housing from my Expedition, I believe if your takes the round filter, mine is the same as your F150. I'm installing a Lightning filter setup to go with the blower system I'm installing.

You can make your own with a piece of PVC and a Fernco cuppler..

yea ok home depot sells that big 6" pvc drainage pipe. filter should fit in there. and just get some reducers. good idea.

No pics yet lol , but I'll get some next time I'm in the shop. I made one somewhat like the Air Force one design. That design generates th most HP, I figure thats why Troyer sells it..

I used schedual 40 3" PVC - One 3x3 Fernco attatching this to the MAF housing and re-used the rubber with the IAC & Breather ports that connect to the throttle body - It adapt's perfectly to the 3" PVC..

i modded my stock intake with HomeDepot parts also. Better then factory, and ive got a whoping 6 bucks into it
