2001 Supercrew 5.4 130+ miles
When Im in park my rpm's either climb or drop to idle. I can hold them at around 2100 but anything lower they just drop. I tried babying the pedal and even tried the throttle cable under the hood and no luck. Any advice?
Not really a matter of life and death but another excuse to go work on it.

 

If it's "searching" rpms at idle, look into the IAC valve.

 

It idles just fine, it just when I try to hold it at anything between idle, 650 to 2100 rpm's. It wont stay at a constant rpm, it either climbs or falls to idle.
