02 replacement?????

Question 02 replacement?????

i have a 02 sensor i have to replace. the one closest to the manifold on the driver side any tips on how to do it?? i looked and it dont seem to be as easy as i hoped.

You should be able to do it from underneath the truck.

Not sure if there's a better/easier way, but that's how I did mine, just take your time.

I even use common wrenches, not the special sensor-removal ones.

If you don't have access to a lift remove tires and the plastic inner fenders.6 phillips head screw and 3 plastic retainers

you can sit under the fenders and it is as open a picture window. the nice thing is that yuou can then remove them with a 22mm or 7/8 box wrench.
it also makes it much easier to unhook the electrical connectors

I replaced both and had the tolls put away in under 45 minutes

Go to autozone / advance auto and rent the specialized socket. I tried everything before I broke down and rented it. It literally took my less that 5 minutes to take the 02 sensor out and replace it.
