what are your miles on the truck, what year, what motor?

My guess is you are 70K+ on a 2000 5.4...

anyways sounds like either a belt or pulley is squeaking. if its one of the pulleys it could be not spinning like it should, and it may be causing the belt to slip. Does it smell like rubber when you drive it for a while?
