2000 Explorer Help--- IAC valve

Angry 2000 Explorer Help--- IAC valve

My friend has a 2000 Explorer it has the big V-6 and we can't find the idle air control valve, anyone know where it is located

Top of the engine, behind the throttle body. Under the overhanging portion of the cowl area.

Explorer... Not Expedition.

Remove the plastic SOHC cover by removing the four screws. You'll see the IAC valve on the side of the throttle body.

Thanks for the reply we will get to this next week. The IAC needs cleaned and we could not find it. Cleaned mine a few times and all was well for a few years
