that probably wont work. different computer calculations etc... if you are short on cash just clean your i.a.c valve for now. i cleaned mine 6 months ago she runs great.

 

I agree. Just remember to disconnect the battery before you pull the iac out to clean it.

 

Why disconnect the battery ? When the ignition is off, there isn't any power at the IAC.

 

What would be the best cleaner to use to clean the control valve?

 

carb cleaner. dont go crazy with the stuff. just enough to clean the needle in there of all the carbon.and careful not to damage the paper gasket also
