changing o2 sensors
from what i understand your downstream o2 sensors should last the life of the vehicle. should i wait to get a cel before i change my upstream or should i do it for the sake of tuning it up. the truck has 75k miles on it and it prob hasn't been changed
For optimum performance change the upstream sensors every 50K N.A., or 30K forced induction. The rears get replaced as they go bad. I did mine in about 10 min. with some PB Blaster and a regular open end wrench. Only use Bosch.
Where did you get the info about the rear 02? The rear 02 like the front is exposed to a lot of heat, maybe not as much, but still heat. It too is a electrical sensor that is subject to break down. If you have the financial ability to replace all 02 sensors after 75k I would.

I would just change the front 02s and wait for the check engine light on the rear . Thanks for the info on your truck, I'm looking at the Edge over some others.

I changed my ORIGINAL O2's at 170,000ish and it made absolutely NO difference on mileage. I wasted my money, and I suggest that you leave them in until you get a CEL for them.. And even then, if it's a back sensor, you don't have to change it.
