I have a 98 extended cab 4x4 and my motor is about to kick the bucket i was just woundering if the 5.4 out of the lighting would drop into my truck i know about switching out the fuel systems and the wiring involved but if the darn motor mounts would bolt right up

 

I think it would, I think the only difference between the 98's engine and the model that the L uses is the PI heads (and the rods/pistons in the L engine).

 

Make sure to get the pcm(computer) and the engine wiring harness.....
