I think there may be a problem....
Oil
Yeah, 2000 miles since the last oil change and I had to put 5 quarts in yesterday!
I got an oil light and started putting oil in. None showed up on the dipstick until I had put 5 quarts in!!!!
There are no puddles and appears to be no leak.
I haven't noticed any smoke from the back of the truck, but then again I wasn't really looking.
So I brought it in and the dealer did an oil change since the oil was pretty much black (even after adding 5 fresh quarts) and I am suppose to bring it back in once it gets a bit low again so we can figure out how bad it is burning the oil up.
Kinda funny, just the other day I was thinking that buying the extended warantee was a waste of money! I'm sure glad I got that now, I may end up with a new engine for $100 deductable!

whats been over a year? the oil change? maybe someone really needed some oil and decided to borrow some of yours
. there was oil in the plug bore? maybe a bad valve cover gasket? did you poor all of the oil into the crankcase without accidently spilling it onto the engine? which plug bore was it? maybe you have a bad blow by. i know my truck went through a quart of oil a week because i had a bad blow by. maybe do a cylinder leakage test.
