Maf

Do you need to take off bat cable when you clean the MAF to reset it?

Well it's just a good idea to take off the battery cable when un hooking an electrical connector. Less risk of having a shocking experience

Yes , you'll want to reset anyway so your PCM -retests , rereads and adjusts according to the new figures from a clean MAF.

No.

Removing KAM power while the ignition is OFF is all that is required. Simply pulling the correct fuse and leaving it out while doing your cleaning task is adequate. That way, you don't have to reprogram your radio and clock settings.

Consult the fuse layout in your owner's manual and see which one says "PCM KAM" or "keep-alive power" or similar.

Nice tip, projectSHO, I never though of that one. I alway fear pulling my battery cable because it takes me 3 days to get my radio set back up right...
