BTW, earlier this year, I went to a full honors military funeral for the victims of a helicopter crash in Iraq. The wife on one of them (I knew 4 of them) is a family friend, and I am privy to the details of her benefits. She is getting everything anyone else would, regardless of the manner of death. Additionally, because the death happened in a combat zone (regardless of how), the burial is in-ground at Arlington National Cemetary. Other veterans who die of natural causes may still be buried in a national cemetary, however the are only guaranteed an in-ground burial if they died in a combat zone, accidental, or otherwise.
EDIT: BTW, Tillman was an Army Ranger, not a Marine, and his family still got benefits, and his funeral happened before the investigation determined the cause of death in any case. I'm pretty sure they didnt pull him back out of the ground to revoke his military funeral just because they found out he died from friendly fire.
