I can increase compression by:

1. stroking
2. decking or shaving
3. increasing bore

if I do all these I will be adding more a/f to the combustion chamber AND increasing my compression.

Did I REALLY miss something or did you mis understand me and act like an asshat?

I admit, I could have been more clear, but I'm trying to eat dinner and didn't feel like nitpicking details.

What's even more funny is that Uber understood me and then called me a idiot. What a crew!
k before i say anymore please clearify several things you stated

wth does that mean.

and if you'd go back and reread you see that i didnt understand anything.

idk i've always thought diesels had a short stroke but maybe they dont? idk.

i've got so much to learn about engines.

so making the sroke longer on an engine increasing compression? and higher compression = a more complete burn?

although thinking about it i suppose its not hard to achieve high compression in diesels. displace enough air with fuel and you'll get more compression. or so i think.. idk!
another thing you stated..

Displacement? You keep saying there's no replacement...

That's the volume your combustion chamber holds. So you can see from my previous post, you can increase the size of the chamber, sooooo....
again what the hell are you refering to? there is NO replacement for displacement..

ya you can get 1000 hp out of a 2.0L but you can also get 1000 hp out of a 5.4 and the 5.4 will look better doing it.. I.E IT WILL LAST LONGER BECAUSE IT WONT HAVE TO WORK AS HARD..

im sure you know what your talking about.. but the rest of us dont.

1. No
2. Yes
3. No

1. A stroker kit's pistons decide compression. It's up the the kit's assembler so it depends on the kit you buy, high compression, standard, low, etc. Unless maybe you have the facilities to weld and regrind your own crank, which you wouldn't unless you are a builder anyway. Since compression in this situation is decided by the different pistons which must be used to keep them from coming out through the heads, the compression is based on them and them alone.
3. And boring? Going with a 30 over or higher piston will net you the same compression. Come on! How much _compression_ are you going to gain with 30 THOUSANDTHS OF AN INCH? On a 302, only a half cubic inch per cylinder when you had 37.75 to begin with. I'll tell you how much. If you had 10 to 1 to start with, after the bore, you would have 10.1-1. Give me a f**king break.

I'll take asshat over idiot any day.

My electric supercharger doesn't have enough compression to get over that mole hill...
