The 4.4L diesel that Ford has been working to get emmissions compliant for sale in the US is a V8 making around 300hp and 450 ft lbs torque. It is the same engine that is in the Range Rover, european version. The engine is an in house design and is being made in Turkey. Will it be the new diesel in the F-150? Hard to say as Ford is giving lots of misleading info. If it is, it is one heck of an engine design and will be an instant winner.
