Timing

Well I have a F-150 5.0 (302) Eddlebrock performer intake
With a Twin BBK performance 61mm Throttle Bodie,
I have 24lb fuel injectors installed with a C & L mass air
I want to know should the timing be at factory 10 BTDC
or should i go something like 12 - 15?

Also id like to know what i should do next its kinda running a little slugish
tho i have a fealing its the transmission its an 4R70W tranny.
its kinda got a slugish off the line to it.

Im also in the middle of saveing up for the exhaust dual high flow cats
would it hurt my emissions if i took out the smog pump
also thinking of getting Tweecer and MSD 6 digital ignition.

any and all toughts on what to do are more than welcome

thanks in advance

On my 89, 302, speed density, with the 5 speed I pull the plug and set base timing at 15 degrees then re-install plug. Go for a ride, like an on ramp to the freeway and go WOT through the gears. If it's pings back it down a degree until it stops.
