I think in theory that's what it is... It's just a PITA to work around, and I have plenty of shop towels. Nobody's ripped the thing off?

I have the 5.4 and I am a 210 lb construction worker. I learned new cuss words the day I took my new factory installed oil filter off. Oil change should take 20 min. I spent three hours wrestling with the oil filter. But on the up side, I now own every oil filter wrench known to man.
