03 engine knock
I have a 03 f150 5.4 and in the morning it knocks until it warms up. I have read through this forum and found that this problem mostly pertains to 97-99 engines. What do you think.

You are probably hearing piston slap. Very common on these engines, and the worst that has come of it that I have seen is embarrassment. I have not heard of any engines failing due to it, it just sounds bad. It generally sounds worse as it gets colder. During the summer it might not be noticeable.
