Did the stock 1994 F-150 come with a V6 or an inline 6? Was it an option, or did all the 6's come with the same type?

My 1994 XL came stock with an inline six. I think the 302 V8 was the next motor in the option list. I think 1997 was the first year for the V6

 

I looked in my service manual and the only engines availble from 1980- 1996 was the 4.9 liter 300 cid straight 6, 232 cu v6, 255, 302 cid 8 cyl, 351 CID 8 cyl,400 cu 460 cu 7.5 ltr 8 cyl and the diesel engines. to my knowledge 1994 didn't have v6 engines they where either straight 6 or V8.

 

In 94 the only 6 cyl avalible was the 4.9 liter inline 6. The other motors that were an option for the f-150 was the 302 and the 351

 

Yup, only V6 in the trucks before the 4.2 in '97 was the bitty 232. Only in the F100s from '80? to '83.
