Base timing for 98 4.6L F-150?
Anyone know it off-hand? Also, is there a SPOUT plug? If so, where should I look? This is my bro-in-law's truck so I'm not familiar with it, would just like to check base timing for him. Thank you.

Uh, are you talking about ignition timing? If so, that is not adjustable from the factory; you would need a Timinig adjuster wheel from Steeda or an SCT custom tune. There is no distributor on these engines, unfortunately.

That engine does not have a SPOUT plug. Base engine timing is preset and is not adjustable.
That engine does have an OCT ADJ bar. Removal of the bar will retard timing by about 3 degrees and is only to be done when directed (or if you know exactly what you're doing).
