I average anywhere from 14.5~16.0 mpg (city/highway combined) in my
03 F150 4x4 4.6 w/ 3.55 l/slip, Screw. The tires on my truck are one size over
the stock size (265/70/16) and I'm running 16x8 wheels.

I know what you are going through, I have a 2000 with a 4.6 it gets half the milage when in city diving then highway if not worse, First off you are driving a more then 5000lb vehicle, and constantly accelerating or hard accelerations in town eat you milage huge. The only you can is keep up with fresh filters, clean oil, and what have you. But your truck is too new to have that. It is only going to get worse not better. My recommendation that worked well for me, was a catback exhaust and cold air intake.
That is will give the truck a lot better airflow, and it will feel like it is working less as hard then it normally would. Using less fuel. I am getting an extra 120 miles per tank. Other then that, I am affriad that is the reality about the milage. With those mods you should go from 8 mpg or almost 12 or 14 in twon.
