20mpg!

We took a ride to Lafayette, LA last Thursday. I drove about 20 miles of city driving. The rest was on I-10.
I filled up in Amite, LA on Wed. night and drove on to Lafayette. Thurs. we returned home to Picayune, MS.
301 miles and 15 gallons of fuel.
Great, considering I set the cruise on 80MPH.

your ud pulleys are what are killin you ... you making every thing turn at a lower speeds per revolution making your alternator work harder.. did you think of things of that nature before you wasted your money on the pulleys? oopss sorry misread that that wasnt your post... but i wouldnt recomend you doin the pulley.. factory dont use em for a reason

Its not working any harder unless its under load, pullies gained me 8hp on the dyno... I think it was worth the money.

bad unless you get and electric water pump, but for everyday use you dont need UD pullies. they will give you a tad more power but idk bout you but ive got enough power to do everything i need to do, including (fingers crossed) beat paul lmao....

Drove from Mckinney to Huntsville = 200 Miles. Took 11 Gallons to top tank off there. That comes to 18.18 MPG at 85 to 90 Mph (left at 6:30AM got there at 9AM)

^^^^ You probably aren't doing anything wrong. Realistically, I think most trucks get 13 to 16 MPG. I have a hard time believing folks who claim 20+ MPG on average with a V8 4x4 full sized pickup. I've owned lots of em over the years, and they were all pretty consistently getting 13 to 16 MPG, regardless of brand, etc.

I got 18 mpg pulling 6400 lbs TT with 302 Bronco. Of course I was 10' behind a UPS Tall SEMI. Next trip I got 10 mpg. I dunno I just like telling that story. P.S. I did have an underdrive pulley

I haven't posted here for a long time, but I couldn't resist the above story.

Drafting is fun, on the open highway. Not downtown though.
Just got an '03 SuperCrew, and it get's 15 on the highway with A/C at 70. Lot better than the V10 I had.
