1990 4.9 tapping at idle
I have a 1990 f-150 4x4 4.9 300 cid that has a tapping sound at idle. the noise has always bin there as long as I have had the truck(2yrs.) but it seams to be louder since I changed the oil and filter. I used a 10w-40 the noise is only there at idle any slight throddle change and the noise is gone.also it seams to be worse when it is warmer.
