A problem that has been occuring on my 2006 f150. Maybe you can tell me what is going on. on warm starts, my truck sometimes trips all over itself and dies.. Then if i turn the key again it starts just fine.

On start up it will sound like the motor is about to start then it just shuts down and stalls with all the dash lights on. Anyone else have this issue?

i am taking it in, but would like to talk intelligently with the tech since they where miffed at this problem.

 

How does it run when it finally starts, or does it? What engine?

 

runs just fine after it starts. only yaks on start up once in a while.

 

Good luck with that one. I've taken my '05 in twice for that problem and all I got both times was "unable to reproduce customer concern." From what I've read on here, try to convince them to check your injectors - if you have a 5.4L. These engines are known for coming with leaky injectors. Otherwise, the tech that checked my truck said it could be something to do with the starter, but he couldn't be sure since they couldn't get the truck to act up.

 

That's a tough one. Not sure one what i could be. Just make sure you keep taking it back to get fixed. If around the 3rd time....demand a new truck.

 

My truck has 28K miles and it starts funny sometime as well. Hasnt done it in a while but it idles rough at stop lights with the a/c on. Dealer says thats normal but my friends truck doesnt do that
