Question Help! Engine Wont Stay Running

I have a 2000 Harley F-150 (before all the bells and whistles) with about 47K on it. Recently the engine has been acting up. When i turn the key it fires up right away, but then it stalls out. Used to think it was no big deal, i'd turn the key again, and it would start on on the 2nd or 3rd try. Now, it starts but it doesnt stay started. For a week i would rev it around 2K and it would be fine. Now that doesnt even work. I have to throw it in drive and go. Once the engine is warmed up everything's fine. I changed the fuel filter, cleaned intake tube and t-body but nothing seems to work. Anyone know what's wrong?

Have you checked the Idle Speed Control or Idle Air Control (same thing) or whatever Ford calls it on your truck?

Just took it apart . . . looks like crap. Its all gummed up. hmmm, this might be the problem. Pep boys has one for $30 versus the Ford Dealer's $106 so im gonna see how the Pep Boys part works. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!

Thumbs up

The new part from the ford dealer worked great. I tried the one at Pep Boys first, but it ran a check engine light and wasnt exactly the same. Runs like new. Thanks!
