I know how we used to do it, but I don't want to screw with my truck like we used too. So how do you guys suggest to properly clean a egr on a 92 5.0

 

not really familiar with the 5.0 setup, but apparently fords have a carbon problems and the egr ports in my 99 with 183k were completely clogged.......... i pulled the throttle body off, unbolted the egr valve and took a long skinny screwdriver and knocked it out, then with a "bottle cleaner" like wire brush took care of the rest..........
