Is there just no pedal (air in the line), or do you have a mechanical problem with the clutch itself? I'm not understanding you.

everything is new The clutch the pressure plate bearings , and sleeve....the only thing we didnt change is the cylinder where you put the breake fluid in at....I must have bled it 20 times still grinds when I go to put it in gear and it feels like there is a inch or 2 of play in the clutch peddle when you step on it.....I you press it to the floor really hard like stand on it you can get it in a lil easier...but I need to get it straigtened out if possible ,,..any suggestions of what might help or be the problem??The way I was bleeding it was pump it up hold it to the floor and then unscrew the little screw for a second till fluid came out it come out in a fast spray then I shut it after about a second.....

bleeding clutch

When bleeding, let all pressure out, then close valve.Fluid comes out before air, because air is higher in lines.Make sure resevoir for brakes dosen't run out between bleeds.Check fluid at least every two bleeds. DANA

P.S. If you didn't replace master cyl.for clutch ,only the slave cyl.it could also cause prob.Rule of thumb...replace both cyl.at same time. Why put clean cyl .on bottom when top is old and dirty.

I had a hell of a time getting my clutch bled when I installed a new one a few years ago. What finally worked for me was to reverse bleed it. I used an oil can with a built in hand pump, filled it with brake fluid, hooked it up to the bleeder on the tranny, and pumped fluid in backwards. I was able to see air bubbles rise to the top of the clutch master resevoir, and continued until they stopped. Then I had to "jack-rabbit" the clutch pedal for normal bleeding. It took about 45 minutes total, but it worked like a charm.
