I purchased an old '90 F-250 with a 351w earlier this summer. The truck only has 95k miles on it, but was running a lil' slow. Replacing the fuel filter made a definite difference for a while (1 month), but now it has slowed down again. Do you guys think that the fuel filter could be clogged again??? I seriously doubt it, because the new filter went in about 500 miles ago. Are there any other compontents that could be causing this? I also suspect a clogged cat. The engine bogs down a bit when I hit the throttle, and I also hear a whistling noise while I am accelerating. The whistling goes away at idle though. I haven't had her for that long, but I am growing pretty attached to her. I just want the truck to run like it was meant to. She is a good truck, and I feel like I owe it to her.
