On the contrary, if you noticed no improvement with the injector cleaner, that means it's not injector related. By testing it yourself with the injector cleaner first, you saved yourself quite a bit of money.

Try disconnecting and plugging the vacuum hose that goes to your fuel pressure regulator. This will bump up the fuel pressure slightly, so if the problem goes away, we know it is a fuel delivery problem, and can go from there.

You need to check and see what your fuel pressure is at idle, and with the key on, engine off.

Certainly. It's just out of sight, at the back of the fuel rail, close to the firewall. Just reach back down behind the intake, to the passenger side of the valve cover.

ok found it and... broke it. i was tightening the fitting on the pressure gauge and the outer thread of the valve broke of inside the female connector on the gauge. but no gas came out, i kept putting it in run while i was tightening it to check. but now that just the needle's there, i can push the needle in and gas comes out, just no way to measure it's pressure.

That's not good. Your problem is in your fuel delivery. It could be several things, but you need to be able to check the fuel pressure to diagnose it. You could always leave your fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose disconnected and plugged, but that's not properly fixing it.

so based on what we do know, what do think the problem could most likely be?
