I have a 99 F-150 with a 4.6 Triton. Can I swap my 4.6 with a 5.1 Triton and not change the transmission or any adapters. Could I just swap and reprogram the computer and I'd be good to go?! Help! Thanks!

 

find out what trans you have in 'er and get back to us. it should bolt up fine, but you are going to need the comp to manage the 5.4 and that specific trans. the only thing you can really reprogram with and aftermarket chip or tuner will be shift points and fuel/air maps n stuff. youll need to get to a bone yard and pull a new one, then buy a chip!
